Help and contact

Georgia Homeroom is free and run by a small team at Georgia Civic Data. Here is how to get help.

Contact us

Email shane@georgiacivicdata.org. We read every message and reply as soon as we can. To help us help you, include:

  • the page address, or the connector tool you were using;
  • what you asked or clicked, and what you expected;
  • what happened instead, with the exact error message if there was one;
  • for connector problems, which AI assistant and app you were using (for example, Claude on desktop or ChatGPT on mobile).

Please do not send personal information about anyone else, or about a child.

Using the MCP connector

Connector address: https://mcp.georgiahomeroom.org/mcp. It needs no sign-in. Setup steps for each assistant are on the connector page. Common fixes:

  • "Session not found" or a dropped connection. Remove the connector and add it again, or start a new chat. This happens after we update the service: your assistant is still holding a session the server no longer knows.
  • No results. Try a broader search, or check the spelling of a code or name.
  • A tool is missing. Refresh the connector's tool list in your assistant's settings.

Report a problem with the information

If something looks wrong, out of date, or missing, email us with the page or tool, what it says, and the official source you compared it with. Corrections help everyone.

Privacy requests

For questions about your information, see the privacy policy or email us.

What this service does not do

  • It does not help with homework or tutor. It explains what Georgia expects to be taught at each grade and points schoolwork questions to your child's teacher.
  • It is not an official source and is not affiliated with the Georgia Department of Education or any school district. The state's own sites remain the authority.
  • It has no access to your child's grades, scores, or school records. It works only from the public standards and the public Georgia Milestones materials.
