Georgia Milestones tests: what each one covers

The Georgia Milestones are Georgia's state tests. For each test, Georgia Homeroom shows what the state's assessment blueprint says it covers: the reporting categories, how many points each carries, how complex the questions are meant to be, and every standard the test assesses.

Georgia Homeroom has the state's blueprint for each test listed here. There is no Georgia Milestones test in kindergarten through grade 2. According to the Georgia Department of Education, students in grades 3 through 8 take End-of-Grade tests in English Language Arts and mathematics, students in grades 5 and 8 take one in science, and students in grade 8 take one in social studies. Middle and high school students enrolled in certain courses take End-of-Course tests. The High School Physical Science test is only for 8th graders enrolled in the high school Physical Science course.
